ABOUT ME

Who is Nicholas Haehn?
IMG_0482 (1).jpg

I am Nicholas Haehn and I am at the University of Cincinnati majoring in Electrical Engineering for both an undergraduate and graduate degree.

At UC I am an active member of the University of Cincinnati Bearcat Bands, as well Engineers Without Borders and the Bearcat Solar Car Club. I enjoy expanding my skills consistently and work with people who are just as passionate as me, which each of these organizations allow me to do.

I enjoy to explore my surroundings, taking hikes and photographing scenery and animals along the way. I love to build projects on my own and on teams, designing, coding, soldering, and much more.

I've completed honors experiences with Models II Honors CEAS Research, where I developed software to analyze logo traits and features with a team and presented my findings at a research symposium. I also completed the Chocolate and Power Honors Seminar, analyzing chocolate's history and future and using it as a method to analyze larger issues such as child labor. In the summer of 2021 and beyond, I worked with the University of Cincinnati MIND Lab, working on hardware security techniques and novel memory devices. I am continuing this research work for my Masters degree. I also worked with Engineers Without Borders at UC on a domestic trip, building affordable housing.

I've completed two co-op rotations at Pole/Zero Corporation, where I have worked on RF testing and design. I have also completed a co-op rotation at Cryptic Vector, working on designing prototype radio hardware.
